Finest maidens fight over next Ada Amagu crown

With only four months to the date, battles for who will wear the next prestigious Ada Amagu crown rage as the finest maidens make frantic efforts ahead of the 2021 Agu-Ikenga carnival.

The January 2020 carnival may go down in history as the greatest event in Oduma in the year 2020, only second to the almighty Ofala of Ndumeze kingdom hosted by veteran king Onyioha Nwanjoku.

Being a highly competitive family, Amagu is poised to use the 2021 carnival to set record which no village in entire Oduma will be able to break sooner.

The chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Emma Nworji told ALUTAEXPRESS that the prizes for various categories of winners are significantly increased, while more nice features are added to boost the glamour.

“Jude, this year’s Agu-Ikenga is going to be something else. The forms for Ada Amagu are already on sale; the brochure is colourful. In fact we are creating a history this time.” Mr. Emma Nworji, who is popularly known as EmmaGold, said.

Meanwhile, Amagu Youth president, Mr. Emmanuel Aninta (Omenife 1 of Oduma) takes care of home front. In the exclusive meeting with all the Amagu young girls, Omenife emphasised the core values of Ikenga family, saying that staying ahead always is a way of life for Amagu since antiquity.

Also present at the congress are Barr. Ezekiel Ukpai, former Amagu Youth president; Mr. Ikechukwu Ekwe, Youth Vice President; Miss Ukamaka Ofili, 2nd runner up of Agu-Ikenga 2020 pageantry.
