Final year students in primary and secondary schools in Kenya are set to resume learning next week.
The Minister for Education George Magoha said grade four, class eight and form four students will resume learning to begin preparing for national examinations.
Primary school finalists will sit for their examinations on 22-24 March 2021.
Form four students will sit for their examinations from 25 March to 16 April 2021.
The education ministry had scrapped the entire 2020 academic year because of the coronavirus pandemic and said schools would resume in January 2021.
The minister later said after consultations the it had been agreed that reopening should begin progressively starting 12 October.
Final year students in colleges and universities were ordered to return on 5 October.
The institutions’ administrators were told to come up with a plan on when the rest of the students would resume.
