As the #EndSARS agitation continues to subside especially in Lagos, there are as many as 229 young protesters who are right now in police net in Lagos alone.
They are to face the law and obviously get stretch of years in prison.

“Two hundred and twenty-nine (229) suspects were arrested by the police for various criminal offences, ranging from arson, murder, stealing, malicious damage of properties and assault before and after the state-wide curfew imposed by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to restore law and order,” official statement from Lagos state read in part.
No one can deny that there were looting, stealing and destruction of both public and private properties by some hoodlums who infiltrated into the righteous movement of the protesters.
However, one can almost be sure that the real culprits have long escaped and that those under custody are mostly innocent people.
Governor Sonwo-Olu is very fast in ordering the prosecution of these youths but he is yet to provide answer to the question of who actually deployed soldiers to shoot unarmed prosters at Lekki Toll Gate.
Isn’t that wickedness? The poor masses are always on the receiving end of the dirt and mess met by the political class. Its a pity!
