Amagu carnival: Tekno seals deal to play live in Oduma

Star hip hop singer Tekno has signed agreement with Amagu community to play live on stage at the second edition of Agu-Ikenga carnival coming on 2nd and 3rd January, 2021.

The chairman Agu-Ikenga Planning Committee, Mr. Emmanuel Nworji (EmmaGold) made this public yesterday as he presented one of the advert banners online.

According to the Alaba-based multimillionaire, no expense is spared to give the carnival the kind of colour the like of which Oduma has not seen before.

“Umu Udubonchi are coming to play live,” EmmaGold said.

“About three other popular music bands would be attending the carnival.

“People are saying that we surprised them last year. But that was nothing; we’ll shock the world with the coming edition,” Nworji told aluta~express.

Agu-Ikenga carnival has been accepted to be made a yearly event in Amagu, the gods and the throne having been duly consulted.

The details about the carnival and what it represents, and the history of Amagu are contained in a brochure which will soon be in circulation.

“Agu-Ikenga is an event I won’t like to miss: I must come,” said comrade Stephen Ekpete, nephew to Igwe Onyioha Nwanjoku.

“I’m coming. I love Amagu.” – Stephen Obasi who is the leader of Oduma Youths for Peace and Progress (OYPP).

Personalities with clout such as Igwe Murphy, Igwe A.O Eneh, Igwe Dan Rossy are expected to grace the occasion alongside their respective cabinets.

The former Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Abel Chukwu will be there to receive award. Multibillionaire Alex (Dollarman) will be coming; Agha Ego of Ndumeze kingdom, Onwa, Oke Ite, Merit Jeo, Hon. Chidi Ekwe are all invited, according report and they would all be attending.

As of the time of filling this report, there was unconfirmed report that senator Ike Ekweremadu has accepted to grace the occasion.

Nworji-committee is also pushing for the Ameke native business tycoon Solomon Otiugo and so many other important sons and daughters from Ameke to grace the occasion.

“I’m going to be glad if Amagu and Ameke could begin to relate well through this event. This two brothers have to reconcile. Oduma at large will benefit from it,” said a man from Ameke who prefer the condition of anonymity.
