67 policemen, 17 soldiers arrive Oduma to guarantee safety in Agu-Ikenga carnival

67 heavily armed policemen and 17 soldiers are paid to arrive Oduma on 2nd January, 2021 to boost security on Agu-Ikenga carnival.

“We’re spending over 13 percent of our budget on security. These men are coming early morning on 2nd January,” Mr. Emmanuel Nworji, the chairman Agu-Ikenga Planning Committee, said.

Its instructive to note that Amagu has earmarked a staggering sum of N13 million to make sure the second edition of Agu-Ikenga will be impossible to copy in a hurry. Costly awards are reserved for great men all across Oduma, and great kings of different autonomous communities are already tipped to come to receive their honour.

Mr. Nworji told me that the security officers are coming with specific instructions: keep order.

Its a thing of joy and on 2nd and 3rd of January, Amagu will be ablaze with merriment.

We’re not changing the venue at King’s High School, Oduma.
