Jubilation as police nabbed Ugwuanyi over libelous comments

Youths of Enugu State took to social media to celebrate the arrest of Ugwuanyi following his libelous social media comments against governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi.

The most hated person in Enugu media space, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi was nabbed by the police this afternoon at his Enugu hideout.
Confirming the incident, a source very close him called him “the senseless mad dog of the East”, saying he was nabbed following a tip off to the police.
Ugwuanyi had been fleeing for past three days when he was declared wanted for his scathing remarks on the personality of Gov Dave Umahi.
In the past, this guy has taken on the high profile politicians in the state, not criticizing them, but insulting them at will. The likes of Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Hon Toby Okechukwu were some of his victims.
No one has been able to understand what he is actually fighting for, but there is a general feeling that his activities were tailored to score cheap publicity. But luck ran out of him as soon as he crossed our boundaries to Ebonyi State.
It is yet to be confirmed how he is faring in the police custody, and public opinion is heavily against him. In fact one commenter on Facebook called him “public enemy no. 1”.
Another person has called him “a social media terrorists” and thanked the Ebonyi State Government for arresting him.
Nsuke Deje, a Facebook group with over 23,000 active members, has unanimously endorsed his arrest and called for sever punishment on Mr Ugwuanyi. Other group have been celebrating his arrest since afternoon.
